What the map means for you

LOW (blue/green) air pollution will have no noticeable effects even for vulnerable people. Vulnerable people include asthmatics, the very young and elderly, and people with heart, lung and circulation problems.
MODERATE (yellow/orange) air pollution might have noticeable effects on vulnerable people, but they probably won't need to take any action.
HIGH (red/brown) air pollution will probably have noticeable effects on vulnerable people. Asthmatics might need to use their inhaler and other vulnerable people should consider avoiding exposure and exercise in polluted areas.
VERY HIGH (purple) air pollution will have similar but stronger effects to HIGH pollution.
