CERC's door is green and situated between the Copper Kettle restaurant and the Cambridge Wine Merchants shop (see picture above the side menu).
CERC is located on King's Parade opposite King's College, within a few meters of the corner of Benet St and Trumpington St where the Corpus Chronophage clock is exhibited. Most people in Cambridge know where King's College, King's Parade and the Corpus Chronophage are, so don't hesitate to ask for directions!
The Drummer Street bus station is around five minutes walk from CERC. Cambridge University has compiled further information on local bus travel (go to the university's local transport page). A regional and national bus transport is operated by National Express, including direct connections to the main airports. The main stop is on the side of Parker's Piece, which is 10 to 15 minutes walk from CERC.
Cambridge is on the line from King's Cross, London (adjacent to St Pancras station where the Eurostar terminal is located). Please see the list of timetables for the journey compiled by Cambridge University (go to the university's rail travel page) or check directly on the National Rail website (Cambridge's train station code is CBG). Once at the station, take a bus to the town centre, and King's Parade is a few minutes walk away. If you go on foot, the walk from the train station to CERC will take around 20 to 30 minutes.
Here are some general directions to reach Cambridge by car.
Please note that CERC has no parking spaces. The closest car park is The Lion Yard car park at a relatively short distance from CERC. The city also has a park and ride system (see the Cambridge City Council website).
The closest airport is London Stansted (30 miles south of Cambridge). There are regular buses and direct train services between Stansted and Cambridge. Other major airports around London (e.g. Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton) are also well connected to Cambridge by bus and train.
For more information, please see the relevant air travel information compiled by Cambridge University (go to the university's air travel page) or check directly at the airport websites.
