UVIC® MkIV High sensitivity vapour detection system
by Atmospheric Research & Instrumentation Develoment Ltd
CERC is delighted to have reached an agreement with ARID to publicise ARID's high density vapour detection system UVIC Mk IV. This state-of-the-art photo-ionisation detector operates under full micro-processor control, features ample on-board memory, internal rechargeable battery and has a generous-sized visual display for data examination.
Description
The UVIC® Mk IV replaces the Mk II which was introduced in May 2004. This new instrument embodies a completely redesigned electrode system which eliminates the extraneous and often somewhat unstable baseline (i.e. zero concentration) current. This not only improves the sensitivity but also enables the Mk IV to compute, display and store the actual concentration in real time.
The Mk IV uses an SD (secure digital) card on which to store data, which effectively provides unlimited storage.
The LCD display has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels which improves image quality and resolution and enables the concentrations to be read off the screen with good accuracy over the full range.
The Mk IV computer interface has been significantly extended to allow the user to load all the instrument settings and the concentration calibration values from a PC.
