CERC offers comprehensive training courses in the use and application of a wide range of CERC software including ADMS 6, ADMS-Urban, ADMS-Roads and a number of other products. It is recommended that all users of CERC software attend a training course, to ensure that they are able to take full advantage of the capabilities of the software.

About the courses
Courses are delivered by CERC expert instructors, using a mixture of presentations, reading material and hands-on worked examples. Training is given in small groups of up to four people. Each trainee receives a comprehensive set of training notes for reference.
The courses provide training in the theory of atmospheric dispersion, as well as practical instruction in the use of the software. Each course aims to equip you to complete you own modelling studies. In most cases, no prior knowledge is assumed.
Instructors
The team of instructors is led by accredited trainers, holding the Professional Trainers Certificate awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). The instructors are full-time CERC consultants with extensive experience in their area of training. Their experience with projects transfers into a practical and effective learning opportunity.
Location
Online
Courses are usually delivered online. During an online course, attendees are guided through pre-recorded presentations and work through exercises, whilst having live access to help and advice from a trainer.
In Cambridge
Courses can be delivered at the CERC office in central Cambridge, usually from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Refreshments, including a buffet lunch, are provided.

Tailored courses
CERC staff have extensive experience in applying CERC software through environmental consultancy. Training courses can therefore be tailored to give guidance and more in-depth instruction into specific applications of the software. You may like to use your own studies as the basis for training.
