CERC offers comprehensive training courses in the use and applications of CERC software. All courses have a practical emphasis based around worked examples. Standard courses are scheduled regularly. Customised courses to suit your particular needs can also be provided.
The training team is led by accredited trainers, holding the Professional Trainers Certificate awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). All trainers are experienced in the practical application of CERC in-house software.
Training is given in small groups of up to four delegates. Each delegate receives a comprehensive set of training notes for reference.
The training courses continue to develop, building on the experience gained both during training and through our own consultancy and development work.
Course types
Standard
These courses provide a comprehensive guide to using the software. The courses include a mixture of presentations, worked examples and discussion of software applicability. It is recommended that all users of the software complete one of these courses. Most courses last two days.

Tailored
CERC staff have extensive experience in applying CERC software through environmental consultancy. Training courses can therefore be tailored to give guidance and more in-depth instruction into specific applications of the software. You may like to use your own studies as the basis for training.

Refresher
These one-day courses are aimed at people who have not used the software for a while, or who last completed a training course some time ago. The courses cover the latest features of the software, and recent changes in methods of modelling. The courses will bring you up to speed quickly, enabling you to carry out your current air quality projects.

Course locations
Online
During an online course, attendees are guided through pre-recorded presentations and work through exercises, whilst having live access to help and advice from a trainer.
In Cambridge
Courses can be held at the CERC office in central Cambridge by arrangement. The courses are carried out over two days, from 9:30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Refreshments, including a buffet lunch, would be provided.
