UVIC® MkII
High Sensitivity
Vapour Detection System

Description

CERC is delighted to have reached an agreement with ARID to publicise ARID's high density vapour detection system UVIC MkII. This is a state-of the-art photo-ionisation detector which operates under full micro-processor control. It features ample on-board memory, internal re-chargeable battery and has a generous-sized visual display for data examination.

The sophisticated software enables the user to pre-set Start and Run times. This is particularly useful when the units are deployed remotely around a site for example in carrying out dispersion investigations. The visual display provides full real time monitoring capability thus enabling immediate evaluation of data quality. monitor

Typical Applications

  • Atmospheric Dispersion Investigations – particularly at short to medium ranges both in open terrain and in the vicinity of buildings, industrial plant etc.
  • Indoor Ventilation and Transport Studies.
  • Leak Detection.
  • Pollution Monitoring.
  • Health & Safety Evaluation.

Specification

  • Compact design using state-of the-art micro-processor techniques. Dimensions: 280mm x 95mm x 200mm (excluding handle and air inlet). Weight: 3.5kg (including lead acid battery)
  • Concentration range: 10 ppb to > 1,000 ppm propylene (or propylene equivalent).
  • Similar sensitivities to ammonia, ethylene, hexene and many other compounds. (List available on request).
  • Employs 16 bit analogue to digital conversion with DSP (Digital Signal Processing).
  • NVRAM (Non Volatile RAM) capable of storing over 7 hours data at the standard acquisition rate of 10.00 Hz.
  • User selectable acquisition rates of 10.00, 5.00, 3.33, 2.00 and 1.00 Hz.
  • On board crystal-controlled clock to store recording times/dates.
  • Full software control of Start and Stop times in Record mode.
  • User selectable Time and Current scales in both Record and Playback modes.
  • Internal re-chargeable Lead Acid battery capable of operating the unit for up to 7 hours continuously.
  • On screen data review facility.
  • Very quiet in operation.
