How to find us

CERC's door is green and situated between the Copper Kettle restaurant and the Cambridge Wine Merchants shop (see picture above the side menu).

Within Cambridge

CERC is located on King's Parade opposite King's College, within a few meters of the corner of Benet St and Trumpington St where the Corpus Chronophage clock is exhibited. Most people in Cambridge know where King's College and King's Parade are, so don't hesitate to ask for directions!

By bus

The Drummer Street bus station is around eight minutes walk from CERC (go to Google Maps for detailed directions; remember to turn left on Kings Parade). Cambridgeshire County Council has compiled further information on local bus travel. A regional and national bus transport is operated by National Express, including direct connections to the main airports. The main stop is on the side of Parker's Piece, which is 10 to 15 minutes walk from CERC.

By train

The main Cambridge train station is on the line from King's Cross, London. King's Cross is adjacent to St Pancras station where the Eurostar terminal is located. Please check directly on the National Rail website for timetables (the code for the main Cambridge station is CBG). Once at the station, take a bus to the town centre, and King's Parade is a few minutes walk away. If you go on foot, the walk from the train station to CERC will take around 20 to 30 minutes.

By car

Here are some general directions to reach Cambridge by car.

  • From the south and from London: take the M11 motorway (junctions 11, 12, 13, 14).
  • From the east and west: the A14 takes you straight to the city.
  • From the north: take the A1(M) and join the A14 near Huntingdon. The A14 will take you straight to the city.

Please note that CERC has no parking spaces. The closest car park is The Grand Arcade car park at a relatively short distance from CERC. The city also has a park and ride system (see the Cambridgeshire County Council website).

By air

The closest airport is London Stansted (30 miles south of Cambridge). There are regular buses and direct train services between Stansted and Cambridge. Other major airports around London (e.g. Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton) are also well connected to Cambridge by bus and train.

For more information, please check directly at the airport websites.
