Air pollution forecasts

These five-day air pollution forecasts are brought to you by Cambridge Environmental Research Consultants (CERC) on behalf of York City Council.

The predictions are calculated each morning by CERC, using forecast meteorological data from PA WeatherCentre. The hourly data is aggregated to give a daily, "worst case" prediction for each area on the map. Concentrations are expressed using the pollution bandings developed by the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
