Forecasting the air quality in Barcelona

The air quality team at Barcelona Regional have been using CERC’s ADMS-Urban model for air quality assessment for over 15 years. Following their initial application and evaluation of the system for Barcelona (results published here), the team worked with colleagues at CERC to set up an air quality forecasting system for the city.

Barcelona Regional continue to run the system, which generates air quality forecast maps and alerts. The public can sign up for NO₂ and PM_2.5 air pollution alert messaging.
